Archangel Michael

This magnificent church rises imposingly in the center of the community of Frenaros and is the main church of the village. The modern church was built at the end of the 1960s with the significant contribution of the residents, in order to serve the increasing flock of the area. In its interior is kept a rare and priceless Byzantine icon of Panagia of Saidnaya of the fourteenth century, which is more widely known in Cyprus as the Panagia of the Hunt. The structure is located in the same precinct, right next to the older, eponymous Byzantine little chapel of the twelfth century.
