Catholic Church of Archangel Michael

This is a historic church that is the religious and cultural centre of the Maronite community in the occupied village of Asomatos in Kyrenia. Owing to the conversion of the village into a military zone, access to the faithful is permitted only on Sundays for the celebration of the Divine Liturgy. The church stands out for its simple but imposing structure and preserves valuable elements of the religious heritage of the area.
