Chapel of Panagia Evangelistria

This is a picturesque and distinctive country chapel of Xylofagou, known to the inhabitants also as Panagia of Syrmatos owing to its location near a torrent. The structure follows the shape of a basilica with exterior arched arcades and is closely connected with the religious tradition of the village. The surrounding space has been beautifully arranged with a lush green park of acacia trees, offering an idyllic natural landscape at a short distance from the sea.
