Chapel of Saint Barbara Frenarous

This beautiful chapel is located about two kilometers east outside the village of Frenaros, positioned within a quiet rural area. At the same spot there was in the past a very old, historic church, which however did not withstand the wear of time and was demolished. The present church was entirely rebuilt in the early 2000s thanks to the initiative of the ecclesiastical committee and the generous expense of a private donor in memory of his parents. The structure follows the traditional architectural style with a vaulted roof and a well-kept surrounding space, being a serene refuge of prayer for the community.
