Chapel of Saint Demetrianos

This historic chapel is found in a rural area a few kilometres outside the residential core of the community of Akrotiri. It is a small, single-space vaulted shrine that is built entirely of the local Limassol stone. The structure was for years in a ruinous state and was fully restored by the Department of Antiquities, although its original floor was not preserved. Owing to its very limited interior space and its isolated position, it is not suitable for the celebration of official sacraments.
