Chapel of Saint George Exarchos (Ruins)

This particular chapel of Saint George, known as "The Exarch," is connected with the ancient Holy Monastery of Symvoulou Christou in the area of Sotira Limassol. Nowadays this religious monument survives only in a state of ruins, preserving certain visible traces of its old stonework. Owing to its ruined state it is no longer functional for the celebration of sacraments, but it is a historic remnant of early Byzantine church building and the rich religious heritage that characterizes this particular area.
