Chapel of Saint George, Petridia, Empa

This historic chapel is located at the location Petridia of Empa and presents a very distinctive architecture, as its oldest, eastern part is in fact an above-ground built tomb. In its interior worn wall paintings can be discerned, while its sanctuary has a unique square shape around a stone Holy Table. Right behind the church is located the well-known cave of Saint Lamprianos, from the mouth of which miraculous holy water (agiasma) gushes all year round.
