Chapel of Saint Stephen

This is one of the most noteworthy and ancient religious monuments of the area, which is built with irregular stones of the local countryside. The church is single-space and vaulted and has been erected upon the remains of an early Christian basilica, while it originally functioned as the katholikon of a small monastery that was deserted. It is considered an exceptionally rare example of ecclesiastical architecture by Cypriot standards and attracts the interest of many visitors.
