Church of Panagia Chortaini

This historic medieval chapel is located in the countryside of the community of Pelathousa in the Paphos district and is dedicated to Panagia the Chortaini. The stone structure preserves precious samples of Byzantine church building of the 12th century, bearing unique details in its masonry despite the passage of the years. Owing to its isolated location and its small interior space, it functions mainly as a quiet station for individual prayer and devotion of the pilgrims who tour the area.
