Church of Panagia Chryseleousas

This historic church, although it is often referred to in the wider area of Akourdaleia, is located specifically in Pano Akourdaleia, while Kato Akourdaleia is served mainly by Saint Panteleimon. It is a small, single-aisled and vaulted Byzantine church with visible historic elements, such as its semi-cylindrical arch and its arches. In the past it underwent later modifications with the demolition of its western wall for purposes of expansion. It functions as an important medieval monument of the Paphos district, preserving unchanged the devotion and the simplicity of our religious heritage.
