Church of Panagia Chrysoaimatousis

The Holy Church of Panagia Chrysoaimatousa is the central and imposing church that dominates the heart of Chloraka in Paphos. It was originally built at the end of the 1920s, but was almost completely leveled during the violent earthquake that struck the district in 1953. The church was fully rebuilt a few years later thanks to state fundraising and contributions, while it stands out for its impressive cruciform style with a dome and the elaborate iconostasis that hosts a rare historic icon of the Theotokos.
