Church of Panagia Fotolampousas, Kedares

This church is built on a height in the mountainous area of Dora, which borders directly and is served ecclesiastically together with Kedares of Paphos. It is a single-aisled vaulted basilica that was built in the early part of the previous century upon the ruins of an older church. According to local ecclesiastical tradition, its name is owed to the therapeutic properties that are attributed to its old icon for ailments of the eyes. The space offers an excellent panoramic view and is an important pilgrimage site for the surrounding communities during the feasts of the Theotokos.
