Church of Panagia

This magnificent and imposing church is the central church of the historic wine-village of Limassol, dominating the settlement with its bulk. It is a three-aisled vaulted basilica that bears an impressive, multi-story stone bell tower with elaborate carvings. The interior of the church impresses with its enormous, gold-adorned wood-carved iconostasis and its rich decoration, while in the same space is also housed the remarkable Ecclesiastical Museum of the community with rare icons and relics.
