Church of Panagia

This is a plain, traditional religious structure of the 18th century, which is the oldest surviving church within the mountainous village of Vavatsinia. The structure stands out for its characteristic wooden roof and its semicircular apse on the eastern side. In its interior is kept a particularly old and precious icon of the Panagia, which is elaborately faced with silver, being the most important relic of the church.
