Church of Saint Evlaliou (Ruins)

This church is located in the occupied area of Ancient Lampousa in Karavas of the Kyrenia district. It is built upon the ruins of a large early Christian basilica that was destroyed during the Arab raids. Because of the Turkish invasion of 1974, the church is now located within a controlled military zone and remains inaccessible for the worship and the sacraments of the displaced faithful. The structure incorporates ancient columns in its interior, preserving the precious historical and religious identity of the area.
