Church of Saint George

The Holy Church of Saint George (also known as Saint George the Poor) is built on the eastern side of Ypsonas in the Limassol district. Its erection began in 1950 in a then-remote area upon the remnants of an older destroyed church, while the works were completed about a decade later. Architecturally it is a single-aisled basilica with a pointed arch and a central dome, which is made entirely of stone and has an elegant two-story bell tower.
