Church of the Saviour Christ

The Holy Church of the Saviour Christ is the central and imposing church of the unified community of Statos - Agios Fotios in mountainous Paphos. Its erection began in 1970 with state funding and was completed in 1976, covering the religious needs of the residents after the relocation of the village due to catastrophic landslides. It is a three-aisled structure with a dome, built entirely with local stone, which stands out for the large courtyard and its elaborate golden iconostasis.
