Church of Vitsadas (Ruins)

This is the central parish church of the occupied village of Vitsada in the plain of Mesaoria, which is dedicated to the protector of the village, Saint Mamas. The church was built with local stone on the site of an older medieval church, the ruins of which are located near the cemetery. After the uprooting of the residents in 1974, the church has suffered desecration with the removal of the crosses and remains silent and inaccessible for the celebration of free sacraments.
