Holy Church of Archangel Michael

This parish church is located in the centre of the mountain village and is dedicated to the miracle at Chonae of Archangel Michael. Its present timber-roofed form was completed in the early 20th century, replacing a much older and historic structure of the area. Today, the church is particularly famous throughout the island for its impressive and verdant courtyard, which is adorned with thousands of colourful flower pots tended by the community's priest.
