Holy Church of Holy Cross

This is a large and modern parish church which was erected in the refugee settlement of the area. The present church, which has the form of a three-aisled basilica, replaced an older prefabricated structure that had been hastily put up after the events of 1974 for the needs of the displaced. It is the religious centre and a real jewel for the community, gathering crowds of faithful, especially on the day of its feast.
