Holy Church of Panagia Chryseleousis and Deomenis

This historic church is the oldest ecclesiastical monument in the traditional core of Strovolos in Nicosia. Its origins date back to the medieval period, while its radical rebuilding in the early seventeenth century was directly connected with the personal actions of the future Ethnomartyr Archbishop Kyprianos. Inside the church there is also an incorporated chapel in honour of Saint Nicholas, as well as a wood-carved iconostasis of exceptional artistry crafted by Constantinopolitan craftsmen.
