Holy Church of Panagia Chrysolofitissas

This impressive church is the central church of the village of Lofou and is dedicated to the Annunciation of the Theotokos. It is built on a small rise on the western side of the settlement, offering a panoramic view over the whole community. It is a large single-aisled basilica, which stands out for the elements of Gothic art on its roof, its two stone bell towers and the remarkable interior wall paintings created in the early 20th century.
