Holy Church of Panagia Eleousas

This majestic church, known in the area also as Panagia Chryseleousa, is the central parish church of the community of Giolou in the Paphos district. Its construction was completed in the mid-1970s, while its official inauguration was held a few years later by the local Metropolis. The church is the basic religious and spiritual centre for the permanent residents and the visitors of the village, celebrating with every formality on 8 September at the Nativity of the Theotokos.
