Holy Church of Panagia Iamatikis

This beautiful church is the main church of the mountain village of Lemythou and is dedicated to Panagia Iamatiki. The original structure was erected in 1721 by the monk Christodoulos, but after destruction it was rebuilt in 1862 and radically renovated in the early 20th century. Inside the church, valuable relics of ecclesiastical art and the miraculous icon of the Theotokos are kept. At a short distance from the church's courtyard lies a picturesque path leading to the traditional, cool holy spring (agiasma) of the Virgin Mary.
