Holy Church of Saint Barbara

The Holy Church of Saint Barbara is the central parish church of the eponymous community in the Nicosia district. This stone structure was completed and began to operate normally in 1917, replacing an older historic church that had been completely destroyed by fire. Architecturally it follows the type of the single-aisled basilica, while its interior space is adorned with remarkable religious relics and icons, being the focal point of the worship events of the residents, especially during the annual festival of the Saint at the beginning of December.
