Holy Church of Saint Barbara

This magnificent church is dedicated to the protector and co-patron of Paralimni, the Great Martyr Saint Barbara, and is located in the eastern part of the city. It is the central spiritual ornament of the eponymous refugee settlement, having an imposing structure, a well-kept forecourt, and a beautiful, recently renovated green space next to it. Every year at the beginning of December, the parish is transformed into a pole of attraction for hundreds of the faithful from all over the free Famagusta district, who flock to venerate its grace.
