Holy Church of Saint Charalambos

This modern parish church is located in the self-housing refugee settlement of the Municipality of Geri in the Nicosia district. The need to create the parish of the same name arose in the mid-1980s, following the mass arrival and settlement of displaced refugees in the area. The church's name was chosen after a joint decision of the inhabitants and the Archbishopric, as there was no other religious edifice dedicated to the particular Saint in the wider region. Today, the church is fully functional, has comfortable spaces and is the spiritual centre of the parish, regularly hosting the divine liturgies, the festivals as well as the social sacraments of the faithful.
