Holy Church of Saint Demetrios

It is the central parish church of the mountainous community and was built upon the foundations of an older church. The structure is made entirely of local stone of the area, while it bears an impressive wood-carved and gilded iconostasis. According to local tradition, during the excavations for its erection a skull was discovered that is considered a holy relic with therapeutic properties for the faithful.
