Holy Church of Saint - Fotou

This historic church is located in the area of the occupied village of Korovia (administratively belonging to the community of Agios Andronikos Karpasias) and is dedicated to the local Saint Photini the Fotou. It is a stone-built monument with a vaulted roof and an impressive bell tower that incorporates an interior spiral staircase. Right next to the church is a deep underground cave with steps, which was the hermitage and the tomb of the Saint, where the famous therapeutic holy spring (agiasma) of the area gushes.
