Holy Church of Saint George, Kallepeia

This imposing church is the central church of Kallepeia in Paphos and is dedicated to Saint George. Its original construction began in 1915 and was completed in 1930, but the structure collapsed almost completely in 1943. Its present form is owed to the complete rebuilding that began in 1955, with the significant financial and spiritual support of Archbishop Makarios III. It functions as the religious focal point of the village, hosting all the official ceremonies and the annual festival of the community on the 23rd of April.
