Holy Church of Saint George (Ruins)

This is the historic main church of the occupied village of Komi Kebir in the area of Karpasia, built with the traditional stone of the area. The church dominates the center of the community and was the core of the spiritual and social life of the residents before the uprooting of 1974. After the Turkish invasion, the structure suffered plundering and is deprived of its icons, while today it remains inactive for the free celebration of Christian weddings or baptisms.
