Holy Church of Saint George (Ruins)

This is the old main church of the occupied village of Vathylakas in the Famagusta district. The church bears precious historical elements and remnants of medieval wall paintings in its interior. Unfortunately, after the events of the invasion and the displacement of the residents, the monument has been completely abandoned, with the result that sacraments are not held and it presents a picture of plundering, having been converted into a refuge for birds.
