Holy Church of Saint George

The church of Saint George, in the center of Agios Dometios, is stone-built, of Byzantine style with elements of a basilica, and was completed in 1902; the bell tower was added in 1947. Its interior is three-aisled, bright, with a marble floor, a wood-carved iconostasis, a women's gallery, and rich decoration of icons and chandeliers. In the courtyard is a marble stele dedicated to the fallen, where the national events of the community conclude.
