Holy Church of Saint John of the Theologian

This is an extremely historic church of Larnaca, which during the period of Ottoman rule functioned as the cathedral of the Metropolis of Kition. The present structure was built in the early 18th century upon the foundations of an older church, probably of the Frankish rule, and stands out for its single-aisled vaulted style. The church is particularly well known for its elaborate, tall bell tower, which is considered one of the most elegant and recognizable in the entire island.
