Holy Church of Saint John the Theologian

This is an exceptionally historic church of Larnaca, which during the Turkish occupation period served as the cathedral of the Metropolis of Kition. The present building was constructed in the early 18th century upon the foundations of an older church, probably of the Frankish period, and stands out for its single-aisled vaulted style. The church is particularly renowned for its elaborate, tall bell tower, which is considered one of the most elegant and recognisable on the entire island.
