Holy Church of Saint Luke Episkopou Symferoupoleos of the Wonderworker

The Holy Church of Saint Luke the Physician and Saint George the Trophy-bearer, currently under construction, is located in the community of Agia Varvara, Nicosia. The building faithfully follows the standards and traditions of Byzantine church architecture, combining the use of Byzantine brick with the local stone of the Kyvides area. Until the full completion of the works and its official inauguration, the worship needs and the festivals in honour of the Saint are hosted in the central church of the community, which from time to time also safeguards portions of his holy relics.
