Holy Church of Saint Marina, Kantou (Metochi i.m. panagias amasgous)

This ancient church is an official dependency (metochi) of the Monastery of Panagia Amasgou and is located near the Limassol-Paphos highway. It is a small cross-in-square church with a dome, which was built entirely of white limestone porous stone, a material that is presumed to have been transported from the archaeological site of Kourion. Although in the past the structure had suffered extensive destruction and had been reduced to ruins, the Department of Antiquities proceeded to its complete reconstruction and restoration.
