Holy Church of Saint Modestos

The Holy Church of Saint Modestos in the occupied village of Kalo Chorio Lefkas is a plain and simple religious edifice of the area. The church is dedicated to Saint Modestos, who is especially honoured by farmers and stock-breeders as the protector of animals. Owing to the political conditions after 1974, access for services and maintenance is extremely limited, while the church's ecclesiastical committee continues to remain active in exile under the aegis of the Metropolis of Morphou.
