Holy Church of Saint Pnevmatos (Ekklisaki)

This small chapel is located on the historic grounds of the former Pedagogical Academy in Aglantzia. The church's foundation stone was laid in late 1959 and the works were completed in 1960, with the aim of symbolising the deep bonds between education and religion. The interior wall paintings and icons were created by the well-known Cypriot painter Andreas Chrysochos. Owing to its limited capacity and its special character, the little church functions mainly for pilgrimage and is not available for the celebration of social sacraments.
