Holy Church of Saint Theodore

The newer church of Saint Theodore is built on the northern, stock-farming side of Dali. It was constructed with modern materials but bears an exterior stone cladding, while right beside it lies a remarkable underground rock-hewn cave chapel. In this space it is believed that the local Saint Theodore practised asceticism; he was one of the 300 Alaman Saints who took refuge on the island from Palestine.
