Holy Church of Saint Theodore

This majestic church dominates the community of Letymvou in Paphos and is dedicated to Saint Theodore, replacing an older stone-built basilica of the 18th century that was destroyed by the catastrophic earthquake of 1954. Its reconstruction lasted five years and was completed in 1960, creating an exceptionally spacious building with an impressive mosaic iconostasis. The church is the main religious core of the village, where the memory of the patron saint is honoured with special devotion during the annual festivals.
