Holy Monastery of Holy Cross

An imposing and magnificent monastic complex that dominates the center of the community, being the central core of the religious life of the area. The present large-sized church was built in the mid-19th century upon the foundations of older Byzantine structures. It is famous worldwide for the priceless relics that it hosts in its interior, such as the fragment of the Holy Rope (Cannabos) and the historic wood-carved throne.
