Holy Monastery of Panagia Evangelistria

This is a women's monastery which is located on the boundaries of the communities of Paramytha and Palodia, next to the central road axis toward Alassa. The monastery was founded in the mid-20th century in a location where in the past a traditional inn operated. The monastic complex includes an original smaller church and a later, larger church that was built at the end of the 1980s, while the entire area was fully reshaped after a catastrophic fire in 2005.
