Holy Monastery of Saint George of the Spilaion

This impressive monastic complex is built around a large natural cave, which was used in the past by ascetics. During cleaning works in the interior of the cave a carved niche and floor were revealed, confirming the existence of an ancient church. At a short distance from the central facilities gushes a natural spring, whose water is considered blessed and is more widely known as the fountain of Saint George.
