Holy Monastery of Saint Monastery

This particular historic monastery, also known as the Monastery of the Priests, is considered one of the oldest monastic complexes of Cyprus. According to ecclesiastical tradition, it was founded around 300 AD by Saint Nicholas and Saint Eftychios upon the foundations of an ancient pagan temple. Its present stone-built katholikon dates to the 17th century, while the entire space today functions as a quiet spiritual refuge and dependency (metochi) of the Holy Monastery of Kykkos.
