Holy Monastery of Saint Thekla

This is a historic women's monastery that is located in a lush valley to the south of the village of Mosfiloti. Tradition connects its founding with Saint Helen during the 4th century, however the present traditional building structure and the church date mainly to the 18th century. The monastery is a pan-Cypriot pilgrimage site, famous for the miraculous underground holy spring (agiasma) and its mud that are used for the healing of skin ailments.
