Holy Monastery Trivillouron

This is an ancient, now destroyed hermitage that is located in the mountainous forest area of Lazania and is directly connected with the founding of the Monastery of Machairas. At this spot the holy ascetics Neophytos and Ignatios had originally settled, who lived as monks there before locating the miraculous icon of the Panagia in the neighboring cave. Although the original structure does not survive in a functional state, the space preserves enormous historical and spiritual value for the ecclesiastical tradition of Cyprus.
