Holy Monastery Trooditissis

The Holy Monastery of Panagia Trooditissa is one of the oldest and most renowned men's monasteries of Cyprus, built at an altitude of 1370 meters within the forest of Troodos. The present church, which replaced older structures that were destroyed by raids and fires, is a three-aisled basilica with a sloping roof. In the space are kept precious relics, with the foremost being the miraculous icon of the Mother of God and the Holy Belt, which attract thousands of the faithful and childless couples who seek spiritual support.
