Metropolis Konstantias and Ammochostou

This imposing and majestic church is the temporary administrative and spiritual seat of the Metropolis, which was transferred to Paralimni after the events of 1974. The structure follows the cross-in-square style with a dome and stands out for its modern, elaborate hagiographic decoration that began in the mid-nineties. It is located in the central square of the town, right next to the older church of the same name of the 19th century, being the most important religious and national point of reference for the whole free Famagusta district.
