Old Church of Saints Nomonos and Vichianou

This noteworthy old church is located in the core of the traditional settlement of Anagyia and is a protected monument of the local heritage. It is a narrow, single-aisled and vaulted structure built with river stones of the area, which preserves inside it a valuable wood-carved iconostasis. Below the sanctuary lies the tomb of the two local Saints, a fact that makes the site an important place of pilgrimage. Nowadays, owing to its small size, it is not used for the celebration of social sacraments, as all the great services have been transferred to the new parish church.
